CPL / Concealed Pistol License
Class Flow: RELAXED This concealed pistol license class is a two part class, a classroom presentation base on PowerPoint / Lecture and a “Live Fire” shooting section at the Shooting range. After completing the Lecture portion or Part 1. We will reconvene, at the shooting range. (For some students we can meet on a separate day to make it easier for students, i.e. for students with time constraints. As a result of this class, you will have a basic knowledge of firearms, understand firearm safety, and understand the legal aspects of carrying a firearm in the State of Michigan.
The course is eight hours long and includes classroom instructions and a minimum of 30 rounds of shooting, qualification conducted at the range. Upon completing this CPL course, the student will present their certificate of completion to their county clerk”‘s office and complete the application process to obtain their Michigan CPL. This Course Complies with Michigan State Code: Section 5 (J) of 1927 PA372.
We reserve the right to cancel the class and reschedule you to the next available date you can attend. Reschedules may happen because of public safety (Covid concerns, Extreme Weather, facility problems etc. etc).
Time:
Eight hours, 5 hours of classroom, and 3 hours of range activities.
Requirements:
1. You Must be 18 years or older with a Michigan ID, but you must be 21 to get a CPL.
2. A way to take notes. Notepad, pen or devices i.e. iPad, Android etc, etc…
3. Firearms, if you own one is fine, but we will supply one free of charge, its part of the class. You mush shoot with the supplied firearms proficiently before you are allowed to shoot with your firearm.
4. Ammunition, You will need a maximum of 50 rounds.
(WE CAN SUPPLY ALL FIREARM AMMUNITION, IF YOU REQUIRE AMMUNITION PLEASE LET US KNOW PRIOR TO CLASS).
(We also offer other class options for those looking to acquire their CPL, but don’t have the time to do a class).
